Nutfree Chewy Bars

Allergy Friendly Chewy Bars, an idea who's time has come. The folks at Enjoy Life take food allergies (and snacking) seriously. Their entire line of products is gluten free, free of the big 8 allergens (as well as others), made in a dedicated facility, and all natural. They recently sent me a sample of their new chewy bars. I'm impressed! The bars come in 4 flavors cocoa loco, caramel apple, mixed berry, and sunbutter crunch.

Kosher Tapioca Flour

Tapioca flour is a staple of gluten free baking. Derived from the root of the Cassava plant, Tapioca is a fabulous thickener and gluten substitute. Living Now makes a Tapioca flour that is organic, kosher certified (CRC), pareve, and made in a dedicated facility(free of gluten and other allergens). I'm still searching for Tapioca flour with a Passover Hechsher. I'll keep you posted when it's that time of year.

Treats not Tricks

Halloween can be a dangerous time for kids with food allergies. If your child goes trick or treating or has Halloween celebrations in school please be careful. Candy corns contain eggs and many chocolates contain nut and dairy ingredients. Please be vigilant during this time.
